JOIN THE CAUCUS

New Political Science is the oldest and largest organization of progressive political scientists in the US.  As a section of the APSA, New Political Science organizes a group of panels at each annual meeting, often in cooperation with other organized sections of the APSA. Each year, it hosts the  Saturday evening Plenary at the APSA Annual Meeting. Plenary speakers in recent years have included: Noam Chomsky,  LaniGuinier, Barbara Ehrenreich, Honorable John Conyers, Rashid Kahlidi Honorable Barney Frank, former AFL-CIO president John Sweeney, and Frances Fox Piven.

Members of the APSA may join the section New Political Science (and thus the Caucus) when they pay their annual association dues simply by checking the section.  Paid-up members of the section receive a discounted annual subscription to New Political Science: a journal of politics and culture as part of their membership. Section dues, which include the journal, are only $20; graduate students pay only $10.

You may also join the Caucus independently of APSA by contacting the current Treasurer (see link to Officers).  The journal subscription is not included in non-APSA membership but full voting rights accrue.
